Earlier this week, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said that linebacker Christian Jones had been inconsistent this season, and on Sunday morning, the Chicago Bears listed Jones among their inactive players versus the Minnesota Vikings. Jones will be replaced by John Timu in the starting lineup, with Jonathan Anderson rotating in off the bench.
The full list of inactives:
- CB Bryce Callahan
- CB Jacoby Glenn
- RB Antone Smith
- LB Christian Jones
- OT Nick Becton
- OT Tayo Fabuluje
- WR Cameron Meredith
Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will be active, and will start for the Bears on Sunday, as well as Pernell McPhee.
It will be interesting to see how well John Timu performs at linebacker after being stashes away on the practice team this season. He looked good in the preseason, and has big play ability.
Can the Bears pull off an upset at Minnesota? Stay tuned...
