No Chicago Bears in the Pro Bowl

Scott Cunningham/Getty Images

Do you remember 1998?

That was the last time the Chicago Bears were shut out for the Pro Bowl. Back then it was AFC vs NFC, but these days the fans, coaches and players each have a hand in selecting the best players, regardless of conference affiliation, that will play on either Team Jerry Rice or Team Michael Irvin.

The Bears aren't the only team shut out of the annual exhibition game, also getting left out were the San Diego Chargers, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints.

Our very own Kev H summed up the feelings of many Bears fans, "The Bears suck so bad that they're not good and can't win a popularity contest."

Here's the full list of Pro Bowlers so far. Injuries and Super Bowl participation could alter the roster, so Bears' fans keep your fingers crossed.

Also take a peek at the Jets and Panthers that made the cut. You'll see a couple former Bears listed.
