Thursday Night Football Open Thread: Packers vs Lions

Join us below for all your TNF action!

Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers started the season 6-0, looking every bit like the best team in the NFC that many thought they were. Since then, they've lost four out of five games, and are a game behind the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North.

The Lions, on the other hand, have won three games in a row, and while they might not be in playoff discussions, you can bet they'll be focused on handing the Packers another loss in hopes of sweeping them for the first time since 1991.

When we look at the NFC playoff picture, it would benefit the Chicago Bears to see the Packers lose another game tonight, which would drop their record to 7-5 on the season. That means if the Packers lose and the Bears win this Sunday, the Bears would only be one game behind Green Bay in the NFC North and at least one seed higher than they currently sit.

So as much as it might pain us, we'll have to root for the Lions tonight. Or at least root against the Packers.

This is your Thursday Night Football Open Thread... Have fun!
