Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett has been in the news this week as rumors circled that he was unhappy with his role in the offense.
Bennett has denied any problems, head coach John Fox says he's unaware of any problems and just yesterday quarterback Jay Cutler said, "I haven't heard him say anything either publicly or privately that he's angry about anything,"
Earlier today Bennett's agent Kennard McGuire, released a statement through the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, and McGuire didn't mince words.
"There isn't a riff or any tension, whomever is making these remarks should have the testicular fortitude and stand in front of their statements."
For those not hip to the term "testicular fortitude," McGuire is basically saying that the person making these claims should have the balls to reveal themselves.
After this year Bennett has one year left on his current 4 year deal, so if there is any drama between he and the Bears, we'll find out this offseason.
What do you guys think? Is there something here or is this a case of the media fabricating a story?
