As Chicago Bears fans, we said good riddance to the 2014 season weeks, if not months, ago. And today, it officially comes to a close.
Many recent Super Bowls have featured Wild Card teams that made improbable runs through the playoffs, with some of them eventually hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in the end. But not this year.
Super Bowl XLIX features the best team in the AFC, the #1 seed New England Patriots, versus the best team in the NFC, the #1 seed Seattle Seahawks.
Both teams ended the regular season with a 12-4 record, and have put up dominating performances in the playoffs.
In one corner, we have the Seahawks who are looking to repeat as NFL champs, and in the other, a team who hasn't won the Super Bowl in ten years but are looking to continue their legacy.
Buckle in, because tonight should be a good one.
This is your Super Bowl XLIX Open Thread... Have fun!
