The Chicago Bears announced Monday that they have signed former Jets and Vikings guard Vladimir Ducasse to a one-year contract.

The 6'5" 325-lbs. Ducasse was a second round pick of the Jets in 2010. He's started 11 games for the Jets (five) and Vikings (six) but has played in 63 games overall, suggesting good special teams and depth.

The Bears could use some more guard depth behind Matt Slauson, who is returning from an injury and two-time Pro-Bowler Kyle Long. Michael Ola is the presumed swing tackle and Ryan Groy is the only other guard of note currently on the roster.

Ducasse played collegiately at the University of Massachusetts.
