Wide Receiver Brian Hartline to visit Chicago Bears on Wednesday

New general manager Ryan Pace and head coach John Fox haven't been clear on Brandon Marshall's future with the team, but the Bears will be entertaining free agent wide receiver Brian Hartline on a visit to Chicago on Wednesday.

Pro Football Talk tweeted this morning that wide receiver Brian Hartline (6'2, 200 lbs) would be visiting with the Chicago Bears on Wednesday, which is only one day after spending the evening meeting (and having dinner) with the Cleveland Browns.

Hartline was a salary cap casualty in Miami, with the Dolphins recently cutting him to free up the nearly $6 million salary he was due for 2015. While Hartline left Cleveland open to them being his next landing spot, Miami has also stated they would like to re-sign him to a new, and cheaper, contract.

The Chicago Bears won't likely be getting into any bidding wars, but they will likely view Hartline as a viable candidate to compete for a starting role in an offense hoping to get off the ground under new offensive coordinator Adam Gase.

Hartline had two consecutive 1,000 yard seasons with Miami in 2012 and 2013, before seeing his production drop significantly in 2014. He finished last season with 474 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Hartline is expected to make the decision on his next landing spot in the next 24 hours.
