Chris Conte will not return to the Chicago Bears

An end of an era?

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Chris Conte had some good moments in Chicago and he had some bad, but he's best known for blowing his coverage against the Green Bay Packers in the 2013 season finale.

He was a 3rd round draft pick in 2011 and he appeared in 57 games with 52 starts in 4 seasons. His Bears career ends with 9 interceptions and 21 passes defended. While Conte wasn't the best of tacklers, his athleticism was a plus in the Bears secondary.

When he was on the field in 2014, he was the Bears' best safety, but injuries kept him out of 4 games and took him out of just about every other one he played in.

There are rumors that he could join Lovie Smith in Tampa Bay, but with his concussion/injury history he should think about retirement.

What are your fondest memories of the Conte era?
