Something that many Bears fans have been clamoring for could be in the works:
Source: #Bears actively shopping Cutler, would move him for "reasonable return." Offers to this point have underwhelmed.
— Dan Bernstein (@dan_bernstein) March 9, 2015
Bernstein, host for the WSCR afternoon show "Boers & Bernstein," has spent much of the afternoon stating repeatedly that this source is correct and that it is fact that the Bears are trying to trade Cutler.
If that's true, there are some interesting possibilities out there. Despite multiple denials, it was reported that 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was available, as well as some other names like Nick Foles and Sam Bradford. General reasoning has concluded that, given the dearth of quality QB talent currently available, that the Bears would either find some way to trade Cutler, or would keep him on the roster, due largely in part to the money that would be lost by simply cutting him.
Factoring in the money that the other team would take on, what would Cutler's value be? Where would be the destination he would go?
Until we hear more, take this with a grain of salt. How do you feel about it?
