The Bears have made their selection, and West Virginia wide receiver Kevin White (6'3, 212 lbs, 4.3 40-yd dash) is the guy.
The Bears traded Brandon Marshall and a seventh-round pick to the New York Jets, and White can step right in to fill the hole that now exists across from Alshon Jeffery. Amari Cooper and White were heralded as the top two wide receivers in the draft, with Cooper regarded as the more polished receiver and White having possibly a higher ceiling.
White himself said yesterday that he believed he'd be the pick if he lasted to number 7 and the Bears, and that appears to have happened. And be sure to check Stephen Ronkowski's interviews with White and Dante Fowler, as there's some really good stuff in there about draft preparation and the closed interview sessions.
Without White, the Bears would have Marquess Wilson slated across from Jeffery.
