The Chicago Bears have used their 3rd round draft pick on Center Hroniss Grasu (6'7", 297) from Oregon.
Grasu was a four-year starter at Oregon, notching All-Pac 12 honors twice and a 2nd team All-American nod once. He was the anchor of their offensive line, facing plenty of NFL-caliber defensive linemen and linebackers along the way.
Earlier this season, the Bears parted ways with veteran Center Roberto Garza, and immediately signed Will Montgomery to a one-year contract. Grasu will have the opportunity to compete for a starting spot, but will likely develop for a year before being handed the reins in his second year.
We know that offensive line depth is a must in the NFL, and the Chicago Bears just drafted a solid player both on the field, as well as in the locker room.
