The Bears Den: July 14, 2015 - Offseason Chicago Bears news & notes

The Bears' corners will sink or swim with the play of Kyle Fuller, says Dan Durkin.

Roster analysis: Corner - Dan Durkin: The bottom line for this patchwork group is that if Kyle Fuller doesn’t take the next step in his development and is unable to match an opponent’s top threat each week, the entire unit will be compromised.

Roster analysis - Fruit of Hub's Loins: Martellus Bennett can be everything new brass needs on the field, but it's hard to imagine he’ll eliminate the silly stuff that made him expendable for two other clubs.

Roster analysis: QBs - Is-Hub Arkush: There’s about as much a chance of Jay Cutler being beat out for the starting spot as there is of Ralph Nader being elected President of the United States.

Who is the best newcomer to the NFCN? - ESPN's NFC North reporters unanimously agree that - with a new coaching staff, a first-round receiver, and moves in free agency - the Bears run away with this one.

Bearsss - Alex Marvez' delightful slideshow of coordinators looking to make an impact in 2015 includes Adam Gase and Marc Trestman, but no Vic Fangio.  Rather more interesting than Marvez' always-shallow content is the fact that I was trying to type Fangio's name without looking at the keyboard and managed to call him Vic Gangio and Vic Dangio.  That's not really interesting, but it's still better than anything Marvez has ever made me click through.

Bears doing good things - Dan Cahill: Several current and former Bears attended Charles Tillman’s Cornerstone Foundation event over the weekend to benefit lung research and help patients at University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital.

Single-game tickets on sale Thursday - Single-game tickets for 2015 Chicago Bears home games at Soldier Field will go on sale to the general public later this week.

Ex-Bear news - Dan Wiederer: Aaron Kromer's arrest stemmed from argument over beach chairs ... Patrick Finley: Punched a minor in his left eye ... Rick Morrissey: Kromer needs to get the same treatment as NFL troublemakers.

[Video] SportsTalk Live - Former Bears OC Aaron Kromer arrested.

Know thy enemy: Lions - Michael Rothstein: Former NFL QBs Elvis Grbac and Todd Collins see an improved Matthew Stafford, who should have a better grasp of the offense in OC Joe Lombardi’s second season.
