The annual ESPYS Award show airs tonight at 7pm Central on ABC, and while there aren't any Chicago Bears up for any awards, there are plenty of Chicago Bears related items up for bib on eBay to raise money for the V Foundation.
The V Foundation for Cancer Research, in case you are unaware, was started in 1993 by Jim Valvano and ESPN. I'm sure by now every sports fan in the world has seen the memorable and moving speech by Jim Valvano at the 1993 ESPYS, but in case you haven't here it is.
If watching the speech gets you like it gets most people, you can read the text of it right here.
But back to the charity items...
Chicago fans can go over to eBay and bid on a number of Chicago sports related items and packages.
Bears' fans in particular, you can get a Kyle Long signed mini helmet, an ESPN Fall Football Show package, VIP seating and lunch at an airing of the Mike Ditka show, a Brian Urlacher autographed football and a football signed by Mike Ditka and other ESPN NFL greats.
With just 4 hours left in the bidding, the Kyle Long mini helmet is the 3rd lowest priced item at just $182.50. Bears' fans, we've gotta keep Long ahead of the Trent Dilfer autographed football, that is currently going for $157.50.
