Chicago Bears training camp fight! ...and other Day 2 notes

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Ok, maybe 'fight' isn't the best choice of words. How about scuffle?

Here's the gist of the altercation.

Offensive guard Kyle Long thought that defensive end Jarvis Jenkins went a little hard at running back Jacquizz Rodgers after a play. Long let Jenkins know about it, there was a brief altercation, the two players were quickly separated. The pads don't go on until tomorrow, but...

Unlike the last couple years, head coach John Fox wants his players to practice physically. I would expect the new coaching regime to allow the players to go live as much as the NFL allows.

Second year corner Kyle Fuller sat out part of practice after injuring his ankle, it's not expected to be anything serious. Rookie defensive lineman Eddie Goldman left the field because he was suffering from dehydration. Tight end Dante Rosario was excused from practice for personal reasons.

Tim Jennings was back after missing yesterday.

Brad Biggs is reporting that there were 3 large men at camp on a try out basis and since offensive line coach Dave Magazu was waiting on them, odds are they were o-linemen.

Outside linebacker Lamarr Houstonwho claims to be 100%, was doing more today than he was yesterday.

Most of the beat writers raved about a catch by wide out Eddie Royal, and thanks to Twitter, here it is.

Here are a few other nuggets via Twitter.
