Even though Chicago Bears' rookie first round draft pick Kevin White was finally working out a little today at practice, he still remains on the PUP list and there's a good chance he doesn't play at all during the four preseason games.
Wide receivers coach Mike Groh is hopeful White can come off the PUP in time to play this preseason, but he admits "That's probably not going to be the case."
Head coach John Fox even chimed in on the White situation, "He's not played football in 7 and a half, 8 weeks, so it'd be crazy for us to just throw him back out there."
And just in case you want visual proof that White was doing some work today, here you go;

Chicago general manager Ryan Pace spoke with ESPN 1000 earlier today from Bourbonnais and he clarified that White did not have surgery on his shin. Pace also remarked that he feels right tackle Jordan Mills is having a much better camp than he did last year and that there are no lingering issues between the team and Martellus Bennett after his mini-holdout.
A couple other Bears' assistant coaches dropped some nuggets today...
Bears RB coach Stan Drayton expressed great enthusiasm with the development of rookie Jeremy Langford.

Bears DBs coach Ed Donatell on CB Tim Jennings: "The biggest thing was getting him healthy. He had a knee surgery 5 months ago."

More Ed Donatell on Tim Jennings: "...Now he's just getting his speed back." Says he likes Jennings both inside and outside. #Bears

The big news of the day was the trade that Chicago made with the New England Patriots. They sent offensive guard Ryan Groy to N.E. for linebacker Matthew Wells. You can read all about that trade here.
On the injury front, reserve offensive lineman Michael Ola was back at practice after hurting his knee last week. QB David Fales remains out with an illness, but Fales was doing some of the light work on the side with Kevin White.
After struggling at Family Fest, Robbie Gould didn't miss a single field goal in the time he spent in the special teams portion of practice, although he was 1 of 2 in the two minute drill practice.
