We'll start things off with the players not practicing and check in on Chicago Bears rookie #1 drat pick Kevin White.
After finding out yesterday that it's likely White sits out all of preseason, he was back working out again today. If you want some video proof, the Chicago Tribune has a very quick clip of him on the field. He's yet to go full speed, but there has been no setbacks and he isn't limping. The Bears are just being very cautious with their investment.
Quarterback David Fales also remains sidelined with an illness.
Reserve corner Tracy Porter tweaked his hamstring yesterday so the Bears held him out today.
Outside linebacker Jared Allen was excused for personal reasons, but he will return to camp this evening.
Newcomer Matthew Wells was issued the worst number possible for a 215 pound professional football player (#63) and he was working out with the linebackers.
Other linebacker nuggets...

Young is really behind the eight-ball, as he's not only slowed by his ankle injury, but he's learning a new position. He's too good of a pass rusher to simply be discarded, so hopefully once he's healthy the Bears will either use him as a nickle down specialist or work to trade him.
Besides having an increased workload, Lamarr Houston was engaging in some fisticuffs with tight end Dante Rosario.

Training camp fights happen. This isn't the first Bears scuffle this offseason and it probably won't be the last.
At least the Bears' players aren't throwing sucker punches in the locker room like at Jets camp.
Here's a non-Bears nugget.

Clausen has to play well on Thursday night against the Dolphins. He has had some struggles this offseason, but he needs to prove to the Bears that they don;t need to look elsewhere for a #2 QB.

The Bears will not practice tomorrow and then on Thursday they host the Dolphins in preseason game #1.
