PredictionMachine.com is a website that predicts sporting events, their season outcomes, stats and more. They utilize something called The Predictalator to calculate these predictions. I imagine it's a giant computer sitting in an abandoned warehouse at an undisclosed location, just inches away from some Skynet-type of global domination, but here's how they describe the Predictalator.
The Predictalator is the most advanced sports forecasting software available today. The technology has the ability to account for all of the statistical interactions of the players (playing or not playing/injured), coaches, officials, fans (homefield advantage) and weather in each game. The Predictalator plays every game 50,000 times before it's actually played.
I know what you're thinking; Impressive, fancy and very high tech.
They actually have a good track record in their predictions and their website is pretty fun to check out.
