The Chicago Bears have made the final move to their roster to get down to the mandated 75 players. They are placing running back and special teamer Senorise Perry on season ending injured reserve.
Perry was pushing to make the final 53 man roster due to solid special teams play. With Perry on IR, that could open the door for 2nd year pro Ka'Deem Carey to stick.
Here are all the other moves the Bears made to get down to 75.
QB Zac Dysert and TE Gannon Sinclair were both signed, and they waived QB Shane Carden and G Lucas Nix. (story)
These 12 players were cut.
CB Tim Jennings
WR Jeremy Kelley
LS Rick Lovato
CB Al Louis Jean
WR Levi Norwood
DL Olsen Pierre
TE Kevin Greene
OT Cameron Jefferson
TE Chris Pantale
WR John Chiles
RB Daniel Thomas
WR Kevin White to the PUP list
The Bears held their final practice today and a number of players were held out, among them, RB Matt Forte, QB Jimmy Clausen, LT Jermon Bushrod, WR Alshon Jeffery, WR Eddie Royal, WR Marquess Wilson, NT Eddie Goldman and CB Tracy Porter.
Forte was just given another veterans day off and Jeffery has been day to day for 3 weeks now.
Head coach John Fox was asked about Jeffery and he responded in typical John Fox fashion.
"It's not like he's sitting there eating Bon Bons. He's conditioning." But what's the problem? "He's injured."
When Fox was asked if he had some insight to give on his plating rotation against the Browns for the preseason finale, he replied, "Not really."
There were a few skirmishes at practice today, but nothing to really be concerned with.
