Originally a 4th round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2011, Acho was signed to a one-year deal by Chicago earlier this season.
However, due to an undisclosed illness, the Chicago Bears terminated his contract a few days ago... This was also seen as a strategic financial move, as more money would have been owed to Acho had he remained on the roster for the first game of the season.
A fan-favorite thanks to his pre-season performance, many Bears fans were sad to see Acho released, but many expected him to be brought back.
As he continues to improve in his health, the Bears have done just that. According to multiple sources, the Bears have re-signed Acho to a contract, and made room for him by adding Cornelius Washington to the Injured Reserve.
Washington suffered a right leg injury on Sunday in the Bears loss to the Packers.
Best wishes to Washington, and welcome back Acho!
