Many were wondering if the Chicago Bears would carry two or three quarterbacks on their roster this season, and as of week one, they had Jay Cutler, Jimmy Clausen, and David Fales. However, Fales was among the inactive for the game versus the Packers.
As long as Cutler and Clausen remain healthy, the Bears will now run with only two QB's, but could end up trying to bring Fales back to the Practice Team if they have a need or want to see him continue to work out. This would be, of course, if no other team decided to claim him first.
With the release of Fales, the Bears have a roster spot to fill. They could sign someone off the street, or promote one of their Practice Squad players.
Current practice team: LB Jonathan Anderson, OT Nick Becton, DL Brandon Dunn, CB Jacoby Glenn, RB Bronson Hill, WR Jalen Saunders, TE Gannon Sinclair, WR Ify Umodu, and DL Terry Williams.
