After the first game of the season, defensive end Cornelius Washington was placed on the season-ending Injured Reserve list due to a quad injury in his leg, and on Wednesday, the Bears have added another defensive end to the roster to help bolster the depth chart.
#Bears have signed DE Lavar Edwards, who has appeared in 11 games in two seasons with Titans (2013) and Cowboys (2014).

Edwards was a 5th round draft pick out of LSU in 2013, and appeared in 7 games for the Titans his rookie year, followed by 4 games for the Cowboys in 2014.
Edwards has good size (6'4", 275 lbs) and ran a 4.8 40-yard dash prior to being drafted in 2013.
The team will likely test him out over the next few days and evaluate whether he will be able to contribute at least on special teams. He won't likely be active in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, but will have an opportunity to work out for the team over the next few days.
Stay tuned...
