Chicago Bears vs Arizona Cardinals: 1st Quarter Open Thread

Join us below for live updates and instant analysis of the Chicago Bears vs Arizona Cardinals contest!

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears looked good in their week 1 loss against the Green Bay Packers, which was a living testament of what good coaching can accomplish against a better opponent.  The Packers have a far better roster, and are all around significantly more talented, but the Bears were in the game from the opening kickoff.

So for the most part, Bears fans are feeling pretty good.  That positive vibe may have taken a significant hit today, however, with the news that #1 wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will be sidelined versus the Cardinal with a hamstring/ calf muscle injury.  You can read more about that HERE.

The Cardinals have quickly established themselves as NFC contenders under the tutelage of head coach Bruce Arians, and will be the second consecutive tough test for Chicago to open the 2015 season.

Can the Bears pull off an upset at Soldier Field before heading to Seattle next week?  Stay tuned...

This is your 1st Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
