If you thought the Chicago Bears' offense was in trouble this week with Jay Cutler reported as being out for 2 weeks, then the following news will either ease your concern or inflate it.
First the bad news...
Jay Cutler (hamstring) was one of four Bears that were held out of practice today, joining starting wide outs Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Eddie Royal (hip/back), and linebacker Jon Bostic (ankle).
The aforementioned three offensive players aren't the only players hurting on that side of the ball as RB Matt Forte (knee), LG Matt Slauson (toe) and WR Marquess Wilson (shoulder) werre all limited at practice today.
On defense it was OLB Pernell McPhee (knee), DL Ego Fergusson (knee) and CB Tracy Porter (hamstring) that were limited.
But now for the optimistic part of today's news, Jay Cutler hasn't been officially ruled out for Sunday's game yet. When asked about the 'out for 2 weeks' report, head coach John Fox said, "I don't know how they know when we don't."
By elevating QB David Fales to the active roster yesterday, the Bears are obviously preparing themselves in case Cutler can't go against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Bears don't need to reveal Cutler's status for Sunday's game until Friday, so I would expect Fox to keep up his unsure act for another day.
Do you guys think Cutler's hammy will be good to go by Sunday?
