The Chicago Bears started out hanging with the Seattle Seahawks, with a valiant effort by the defense in the first half. Unfortunately, lack of depth saw Vic Fangio's group getting tired in the second hald, opening up plenty of opportunities for the Seahawks to move the ball as the game went on.
Some bad news on the injury front: starting left tackle Jermon Bushrod was taken out of the game in the 2nd half, and eventually diagnosed with a concussion. Not only did he not return versus Seattle, you have to wonder whether he will be ready to go next week versus the Raiders.
And defensive tackle Will Sutton left the game as well, and was diagnosed with a left biceps injury. He also did not return.
Matt Forte was having his back worked on by team doctors on the sideline during the 4th quarter, but he eventually returned to action.
Prior to the game, starting QB Jay Cutler was testing his hamstring, and did so without a noticeable limp. Another week of rest will be good for him, but will he be ready next week versus the Raiders?
We'll have more updates as they are available. Stay tuned...
