Adam Gase expected to take Bears assistant coach Clint Hurtt to Dolphins

When the Miami Dolphins hired former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase to be their head coach, you had to expect that he would want to take along a familiar face or two to help fill out his coaching staff.

Alex Marvez of FOX Sports is reporting that Gase will hire Chicago's Clint Hurtt as his defensive line coach. Hurtt spent 2015 employed as the Bears outside linebackers coach after being their assistant defensive line coach in 2014 on Mel Tucker's defensive staff.

Hurtt has ties to the Miami area. He played his college ball at the University of Miami and he was an assistant coach for the Hurricanes on a couple of occasions.

Marvez is also reporting that Gase's defensive staff will include Bengals defensive backs coach Vance Joseph as his defensive coordinator, Cincinnati's Matt Burke as his linebackers coach and Dallas' Jerome Henderson as his defensive backs coach.

There has yet to be any official word about Hurtt joining Gase's staff, so once it's official we'll pass it along.
