Earlier today the Chicago Bears announced the hiring of 36 year old Dave Ragone as their new quarterbacks coach. He replaces Dowell Loggains, who was promoted to offensive coordinator on January 11th. Ragone has a history with Loggains from their time working with the Tennessee Titans.

Ragone was the wide receiver coach for the Titans in 2012 and 2013, then he was their QB coach in 2014. Loggains was in Tennessee from 2008-2013, serving as their offensive coordinator part of 2012 and all of 2013. The Loggains/Ragone duo helped Titans' QB Jake Locker to his best season as a pro in 2013.

Last season Ragone was an offensive quality control coach for the Washington Redskins.

In 2010 he was the quarterbacks coach for the UFL's Hartford Colonials where he helped Josh McCown (yes that Josh McCown) lead the league in passer rating and touchdown passes.

Ragone was a 3rd round draft pick by the Houston Texans in 2003 after an outstanding collegiate career at Louisville that saw him win the Conference USA Player Of The Year award three straight seasons.
