Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions 1st Quarter Open Thread

The Chicago Bears will end the 2015 with a losing record; that much we know. But today's contest versus the Detroit Lions will determine which team is officially in the bottom of the NFC North.  From the outside, that may not seem like a huge motivating factor, but these are professional athletes who are among the most competitive people on Earth-- nobody wants to get last place.

So while the Packers and Vikings will be facing off this evening for first place in the division, we'll sit here today and watch the Bears and Lions each try to not end up the worst team among their peers.

But hey, at least this year we don't have to talk about Black Monday tomorrow.
