A tale of two opening drives:

The Lions offense marched right down the throat of the Bears defense, getting very little resistance before ending up in the end zone. Harold Jones-Quartey had a key missed tackle, then busted coverage on the touchdown toss from Matthew Stafford, and will have to tighten up if he is to stay in this game beyond the first half.

The Bears moved the ball on their first possession, and ended up in the red zone, but Jay Cutler's pass intended for Cameron Meredith in the end zone ended up being intercepted on a tip.

The Lions second series saw a bit more pressure by the Bears defense, with Stafford being sacked by Christian Jones and a screen pass being sniffed out, leading to a Lions punt.

The Lions lead the Bears 7-0 going into the 2nd Q uarter. Stay tuned...
