Dowell Loggains top contender for Chicago Bears offensive coordinator role, per report

With the exit of Adam Gase, the Chicago Bears will need to hire another offensive coordinator, and they likely already have their man in house.

Adam Gase is largely credited with Jay Cutler's 2015 performance that was arguably the best season of his career, and while Cutler clearly enjoyed working with Gase, he also consistently gave credit to the Bears quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains for being a leader for the offense.

On Saturday, Adam Gase was officially hired away as the Miami Dolphins next head coach, and Adam Schefter quickly pointed out that, according to sources, Loggains was already the front-runner to replace Gase.

We discussed this a couple weeks ago, and it wold be no surprise if the Bears ensured offensive continuity by promoting Loggains as their next offensive coordinator.

If so, fans could expect 2016's offensive schemes to look almost identical, but more than likely with significantly more weapons to work with.
