The Chicago Bears are currently sitting at 1-4, a disappointing start to a season that had begun with high hopes. Injuries have mounted, exposing a significant lack of depth at many critical positions, and as such, lack any sort of power punch as the weeks go by.
Sure, Brian Hoyer is playing safe, smart football, but he isn’t challenging opposing defenses outside of the dinks and dunks that we are seeing.
On the defensive side of the ball, you’ve got Jerrell Freeman and a couple others playing with aggression, but they can’t make all the plays.
The Bears are basically driving on severely under-inflated tires, and while they are keeping it between the lines, they are being out-paced by their opponents. Will the Jaguars be any different this coming Sunday?
