The Chicago Bears have activated outside linebacker Pernell McPhee from the reserve/physically unable to perform list (PUP) and waived fullback Paul Lasike.
The Bears had until 3pm this afternoon to decide if they would activate outside linebacker Pernell McPhee for Thursday Night Football and a match-up against the Green Bay Packers. That deadline hit, and like clockwork, the Bears have decided to activate the passionate leader of their defense.
A healthy McPhee brings a violent swagger to the Bears’ defense and a pass rushing presence that they sorely need. It was a long shot to expect McPhee to have the necessary football conditioning after first practicing a short 6 days ago, but Chicago is ready to see if he can give the D a spark.
Even if McPhee can’t play the majority of snaps tonight, filtering him in for a few series’ here and there will be a big boost to their front 7.
The other PUP listed Bear, wide out Marquess Wilson, has yet to be cleared to practice.
What do you guys expect from McPhee this evening?
