Monday Night Football Open Thread: Texans at Broncos

Monday Night Football this week features two AFC teams that both have playoff aspirations— the Houston Texans (4-2) versus the Denver Broncos (4-2) at Mile High Stadium.

The biggest storyline of the night of course is the return of Brock Osweiler to Denver... After filling in admirably for an injured Peyton Manning last season, Osweiler earned himself a 72 million dollar contract from the Houston Texans, who had a hangover from Brian Hoyer’s dismal performance in last year’s AFC Wild Card game.

Unfortunately for the Texans, Osweiler isn’t playing all that great, and their 4-2 record is a bit deceiving when you consider who they’ve played along the way.

Will Osweiler get a hero’s welcome when he runs on the field at Mile High tonight? Or will things be awkward for the former backup who wasn’t re-signed by the team he helped lead to the Super Bowl? Stay tuned...
