All statistics and snap counts are taken directly from the NFL's Game Statistic and Information System.
This one is on Jay Cutler.
It’s also on offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains.
And while we’re handing out blame, we’ll give some to head coach John Fox too.
There’s some blame to go around to the defense as well for allowing Jameis Winston to throw for 312 yards and for allowing over 50% on 3rd down tries.
It’s inexcusable for them to come out after a week off, which followed their best game of the season, and play like hot garbage.
It is absolutely excruciating to be a fan of the Chicago Bears.
The Bucs won the game in dominating fashion by a score of 36-10 and they held the edge all over the stat sheet.
In first downs, 22 to 15. In 3rd Down efficiency, 8-15 (53%) to 2-11 (18%). In total net yards, 360 to 283. And In time of possession, 37:09 to 22:51.
The Bears were actually penalized for 10 fewer yards, 9-74 to 9-85, but the four turnovers (to the Bucs 1) absolutely killed their chances to compete.
There were a few spattering of bright spots sprinkled around the turd the Bears dropped in Tampa Bay, but overall it just a piss poor performance.
Now on to the snap counts and individual stats
All snap counts will be in the ‘Player - total offensive/defensive snaps (percentage) - total special teams snaps (percentage)’ format.
Quarterback
J Cutler - 56 (100%)
Jay Cutler went 16 of 30 for 182 yards, two interceptions, two fumbles and a 55.1 passer rating.
Offensive Line
J Sitton LG - 56 (100%) - 2 (7%)
C Whitehair C - 56 (100%) - 2 (7%)
C Leno LT - 56 (100%) - 2 (7%)
T Larsen RG - 34 (61%) - 2 (7%)
M Adams RT - 33 (59%) - 2 (7%)
B Massie RT - 23 (41%) - 1 (4%)
K Long RG - 22 (39%) - 1 (4%)
The Bears were one more o-line injury away from lining up a tight end or defensive lineman at the position.
Chicago allowed the Buccaneers to get 4 sacks, 7 QB hits, and 3 tackles for loss. Ted Larsen had a unnecessary roughness penalty called on him and Josh Sitton was caught holding.
Running Backs
J Howard - 29 (52%)
J Langford - 19 (34%)
K Carey - 8 (14%) - 12 (43%)
P Lasike - 7 (12%)
Jordan Howard ended up leaving the game with an ankle injury (more info on that at WCG when available), but after having 9 carries (for 54 yards) in the 1st quarter, the Bears only gave him 4 carries in the 2nd quarter, 1 in the 3rd, and 1 in the 4th. He ended the day with 15 rushes for 100 yards (6.7ypc) and 1 fumble.
While I’m ok with Jeremy Langford and Ka’Deem Carey getting playing time each week, I also know that you ride the hot hand and you do not give him extended time on the bench after one miscue. You show that young player that you have confidence in him by going right back to him.
Langford had 2 runs for 16 yards and he caught 4 of 5 passes directed towards him for 10 yards. Carey had 2 runs for -1 yard, and he caught the only ball thrown his way for a 16 yard gain.
Fullback Paul Lasike caught 1 for 3 yards.
Wide Receivers
A Jeffery - 55 (98%)
C Meredith - 54 (96%)
E Royal - 41 (73%) - 5 (18%)
J Bellamy - 1 (2%) - 20 (71%)

Zach Miller had some garbage time catches to get his total to 4 receptions for 32 yards. Cutler targeted him 7 times and Logan Paulsen once. Ben Braunecker had a false start penalty.

Cornerbacks
C LeBlanc - 72 (96%)
T Porter - 69 (92%)
D Hurst - 47 (63%) - 14 (50%)
D Bausby - 3 (4%)
I was completely fine with Demontre Hurst playing over De'Vante Bausby, but I’d be even more OK with Bryce Callahan staying healthy enough to play. Hurst came in at nickle and had 2 tackles. Starting corners Tracy Proter and Cre'Von LeBlanc had 4 and 3 tackles respectively.
Safeties
A Amos - 72 (96%) - 9 (32%)
H Jones-Quartey - 68 (91%) - 8 (29%)
C Prosinski - 12 (16%) - 26 (93%)

Harold Jones-Quartey had 5 tackles, an interception and a pass defense. He also had a special teams tackle, but he was caught for defensive holding and pass interference. Adrian Amos had 4 tackles.
Chris Prosinski had 3 tackles and a TFL on D and another tackle in the 3rd phase and Deon Bush had a tackle on D.
Linebackers
J Freeman ILB - 75 (100%) - 6 (21%)
D Trevathan ILB - 66 (88%)
L Floyd OLB - 57 (76%)
W Young OLB - 45 (60%) - 5 (18%)
P McPhee OLB - 25 (33%) - 1 (4%)
S Acho OLB - 23 (31%) - 23 (82%)

Pernell McPhee had 2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL and 1 QBH (and a roughing the passer penalty) and Willie Young had 5 tackles, a half a sack and a QBH. Sam Acho had 2 tackles.
Defensive Line
A Hicks - 64 (85%) - 6 (21%)
C Washington - 40 (53%) - 4 (14%)
J Bullard - 38 (51%) - 8 (29%)
E Goldman - 31 (41%) - 1 (4%)
W Sutton - 7 (9%) - 7 (25%)
Eddie Goldman picked up a sack in his first game back since week 2, he also had 4 tackles, a TFL and a QBH. Akiem Hicks had 3 tackles and 1 TFL. Rookie Jonathan Bullard had 1 tackle.
Cornelius Washington had 2 tackles and Will Sutton was credited with 4 tackles on his 7 snaps, so that’s some interesting production.
