These last two weeks have been crazy for the Chicago Bears. Besides struggling to win games, the Bears have been struggling to stay on the field. A few more season ending injuries, a few more potential week to week type injuries and a couple of 4 game suspensions means the week 11 lineup will be drastically different than the week 1 lineup.
Some of the changes made the last few weeks were performance based, but many were prompted by injury or suspension.
I guess if you were looking for a silver lining among this mess of a season, it's that the Bears are getting a look at a lot of young players. General manager Ryan Pace will have a better idea on the young talent he's acquired because so many have been forced into action.
There are two players in particular that I'm really excited to see play in the coming weeks, and in my latest edition of my podcast (T Formation Conversation, subscribe on iTunes now!), I discuss rookie 4th rounder Nick Kwiatkoski and undrafted free agent Ben Braunecker.
While I really enjoyed seeing what Jerrell Freeman brought to the Bears, I'm curious to see if Kwiatkoski can make the most of his opportunity at inside linebacker
Zach Miller is one of my favorite Bears to watch, but Braunecker has all the traits you look for in an NFL tight end.
Hopefully the experience these guys gain as Chicago plays out the string, will give them the confidence to excel in the future.
Give my show a listen and let me know your thoughts!
