Thursday Night Football Open Thread

New, comments

Tonight Thursday Night Football features the Atlanta Falcons against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons are at 5-3 while the Buccaneers sit at 3-4.

Fresh off a win against the Packers, the Falcons are looking to consolidate their lead in the playoff hunt by getting a divisional win. Meanwhile, if the Bucs manage a victory, they will actually have completed a sweep of the Falcons and will have pulled even to .500.

For Bears-centric viewers, it will be interesting to watch the play of former Bear Jacquizz Rodgers, now on Tampa Bay’s roster. Likewise, the Falcons will feature a former Bear in Eric Weems, but Weems has not done much this season.

Finally, for those who like to agonize over should-have-beens with the draft, the game will feature Vic Beasley (drafted 8th last year, one slot after Kevin White) for the Falcons and Vernon Hargreaves III (drafted 11th this year, in the Bears’ original slot) for Tampa Bay.
