The 2016 season is half over for the Chicago Bears and at 2-6 there hasn't been many happy moments. Their bye week not only came at the exact mid-point of the season, but it came at an opportune time for them to get some injured players back on the field to start a second half run towards postseason!
OK, maybe that's a little optimistic, but at the very least this team should be better as they work their way through the final eight games of the year.
Since the bye hit when it did, it gives me the perfect opportunity to hand out some mid-season awards, so in my latest podcast (T Formation Conversation, subscribe now on iTunes!) I hand out my awards for offensive and defensive player of the half year, rookie of the half year, most surprising, most disappointing and coach of the first half of the 2016 season.
I go over a few players in each category that I considered before finally making my pick, plus I make my guess for the Bears that will be the 2nd half "winners" in each category.
Give the show a listen and let me know your picks in the comment section!
