ESPN’s Mike Caplan is reporting that the Chicago Bears have claimed offensive tackle Matt McCants off waivers from the Cleveland Browns. To make room for McCants, the Bears have placed a 16th player on season ending injured reserve, offensive tackle Mike Adams.

This was the first season for Adams in Chicago, he previously played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He missed all of the 2015 season after having back surgery, and he missed Sunday’s loss against the Lions with a back injury.

McCants was recently waived by Cleveland to make room for quarterback Robert Griffen III. He began the 2016 season on the Oakland Raiders and he appeared in 2 games for them. He was originally a 6th round pick of the New York Giants in 2012, then he move don to the Raiders the next season. He had 3 starts in 2013, but none since then.

What are your thoughts on this minor move?
