The Chicago Bears will again be without wide receivers Eddie Royal and Marquess Wilson for this weeks game. Royal is still battling a turf toe injury, but Wilson’s injury is more serious. Head coach John Fox has confirmed that he has broken his foot for the third time.
With Alshon Jeffery set to return on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, the Bears could place Wilson on injured reserve to clear the roster spot. When Fox was asked about Jeffery practicing this week, he said, "It's kind of been business as usual. He plugged right back in." With Jeffery unable to be around the team for his 4 week suspension, some were concerned he wouldn’t be in shape, but Fox said he hasn’t “really noticed any difference from before he left," and that Jeffery is "very competitive,” and “he wants to win.”
Eddie Goldman is one of three Bears listed as questionable. He has only played in 6 of the 13 games so far this season for the Chicago Bears because of a troublesome ankle injury. As a rookie in 2015, he showed so much promise that I predicted a pro bowl season from him this year. He missed practice all week.
Also questionable for Chicago are cornerbacks Bryce Callahan and Jonathan Banks, and they were both limited at practice all week.
The Packers have two players listed as doubtful, LB Nick Perry and RB James Starks, neither of whom practiced this week. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is listed as questionable with a calf injury, and he didn’t practice the entire week either. Other questionable Packers are C/G JC Tretter, FB Aaron Ripkowski, CB Damarious Randall, RB Christine Michael, LB Blake Martinez, LB Kyler Frackrell and WR Randall Cobb.
