Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers 1st Quarter Open Thread

The Bears will try to avenge their Week 7 loss against the Packers today.

The Chicago Bears are currently enjoying the 4th-worst record in the NFL, which means they are sitting in pretty good position in the 2017 Draft order. But fans at Soldier Field would love nothing more than seeing a win today against division rival Green Bay, because after all, there hasn’t been much good football played at home over the last few years.

Ticket prices in Chicago are among the most expensive in the league, and the Bears franchise is among the most valuable, yet the product being put on the field has been embarrassing this season. We know the team has been decimated by injuries, but at the end of the day, the record is all that counts.

Today the Bears will face a surging Packers team that a month ago looked like they had no shot at the postseason. But three straight wins have gotten them back on track, and it’s not likely the Bears will be able to do much to end that streak.

Hope you’re wrapped up in warm clothing, because the high of 9 degrees today is going to make for frigid football...
