Will John Fox be back in 2017?

NFL: Chicago Bears at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

There are a couple of layers to the question posed above. There’s what Chicago Bears’ general manager Ryan Pace will do, and then there’s what would you do?

You might look at the Bears’ record under head coach John Fox and come to the conclusion that it’s a no-brainer, but it’s not that simple. If the Bears fire Fox and start anew for the 3rd time since the 2013 season, will that push the franchise even further behind in the "rebuild." Where do the injuries play into the equation? Would a change stunt the development of the defense?

In the latest edition of my T Formation Conversation podcast (Subscribe now for free on iTunes!) I go over what I think Ryan Pace will do, I go over what I would do, and I even look at some recent success from a handful of 1st year coaches. Don’t simply assume that if the Bears scrap Fox and go get a new head coach that the team will take a step backwards.

Give my show a listen and in the comment section let us know what you would do about Fox if you were running the Bears, but also let us know what you think Pace will do at season’s end.
