Only the 49ers, Browns, and Jaguars have worse records than the 3-11 Chicago Bears, which means we are currently sitting at the #4 overall draft position heading into the final two weeks of the season.

The NFL decided to move most of this week’s football to Christmas Eve to enable players, employees, etc. to spend the holiday with their families, which was a nice touch.

Today, the Bears take on the Washington Redskins (7-6-1), who are not mathematically eliminated from playoff contention... Yet. The Redskins need a win today and lots of help from around the NFC to get in, so the Bears could indeed play spoilers with an upset victory today.

Once again, as has been the case most of the season, the Bears will be starting lots of 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th and 5th stringers in today’s contest, thanks primarily to an unprecedented season of injuries in 2016.

Can John Fox, Vic Fangio, and Dowell Loggains put together a game plan to help this team compete? Stay tuned...

This is your Bears vs Redskins 1st Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
