The Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins both took an offensive series to get going today, but after trading punts to open the game, each of them were able to march down field and put themselves into a scoring situation.
The difference, though, is that the Redskins actually punched it in, and the Bears walked away with nothing.
Soldier Field is a bit more festive than normal, considering the holiday upon us, but we will find out later in the game how many unused tickets there are in the Chicago Bears final home game of the season. Either way, there hasn’t been much good football played at home this season.
Can John Fox and company get something going in the 2nd period and keep this game competitive? Or will quarterback Kirk Cousins continue his stellar season and put this one out of reach early on? Stay tuned...
This is your Chicago Bears versus Washington Redskins 2nd Quarter Open Thread... Have fun!
