The NFL gifted its players and staffers an early Christmas present for Week 16, electing to host the majority of games on Saturday so that everyone could be home with family and friends for the Sunday holiday (sorry, Ravens/Steelers & Broncos/Chiefs), and this afternoon features a small handful of games that have big meaning.
Of the six NFL teams playing this afternoon’s second shift, only one of them have been eliminated from the playoffs.
- Indianapolis Colts (7-7) vs Oakland Raiders (11-3): The Colts need an upset win and plenty of help if they want to keep their 2016 playoff hopes alive.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-6) vs New Orleans Saints (6-8): If the Saints lose, they’re out. If they win, they still need LOTS of help from around the conference.
- Arizona Cardinals (5-8-1) vs Seattle Seahawks (9-4-1): The Seahawks have wrapped up their division, but will also be looking for a big game before closing out the season next week versus the hapless 49ers.
