When this game was first imagined by schedule-makers in the NFL, there was probably a lot more excitement than there is now. While the Seattle Seahawks are rolling along at 7-3-1 and tops in their division, the Carolina Panthers are 4-7 and sitting in the basement of theirs.

One thing that will still be fun to watch will be the battle between Cam Newton and Russell Wilson, two of the best in the game from a talent perspective. Newton and the Panthers offense has struggled for much of the season, but he will likely go over 2,500 yards passing tonight. And Wilson is only 135 yards from joining the 3,000 passing yards club this season.

Seattle will be the clear favorite tonight, playing at home with a defense that has allowed a league-leading 17.0 points per game this season. With Carolina’s offensive struggles, they will be running uphill from the start.

This is your Sunday Night Football Open Thread... Have fun!
