Super Bowl 50 features the AFC's #1 playoff seed versus the NFC's #1 playoff seed in a battle that is sure to be historic. The Denver Broncos will try and send Peyton Manning off into the sunset with one final Super Bowl victory, while Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers will try to silence all of their doubters and bring home their franchise's first Lombardi Trophy.
Of course, each team's last Super Bowl appearance-- 2013 for the Broncos and 2003 for the Panthers-- were both coached by current Chicago Bears head coach John Fox. And both teams lost those respective games.
Now it's Gary Kubiak in his first year at the helm, versus Ron Rivera in his 5th season with Carolina.
Which team will come out ahead? It's been said Carolina's offense is an unstoppable force, and that Denver's defense is an immovable object. Stay tuned...
This is your Super Bowl 50 1st Half Open Thread... Have fun!
