Chicago Bears re-sign tight end Zach Miller

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears have decided to bring back 31 year old tight end Zach Miller after his career year last season. The Bears are giving him a two year deal.

Since struggling with injuries off and on after being a 6th round draft pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2009, Miller finally lived up to his athletic potential in 2015. He racked up 34 receptions, 439 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns, while making 14 starts and appearing in 15 games.

According to Sporting Charts, Miller didn't drop a single pass last season, so while he's not a mauling run blocker, as a Move-TE he's pretty good. Last year he lined up all over the field for the Bears, including the backfield, but we'll have to wait and see how he's used as new Bears' offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains installs his wrinkles into the Bears O.

Earlier today the Bears brought back Rob Housler and rumors still abound that they are looking to move on from Martellus Bennett.

What are your thoughts on Miller being back with the Bears?
