You Grade The Chicago Bears Draft Class

Bill Swerski and his fellow Superfans, Pat Arnold, Carl Wollarski, and Todd O'Connor, wanted to chime in on the 2016 NFL Draft Grades for the Chicago Bears this year. Bill is taking lead on this article, but the fellas are all putting in their 2 cents.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The 2016 NFL Draft is in the books and the Chicago Bears are ready to, once again, return to the top of the NFC Central North.

After an exciting and prosperous round of free agency, which saw The Beloved revamp their defense with the two best inside linebackers available, Danny Trevathan and Jerrell Freeman, a road grading right tackle in Bobby Massie and an ass-kicker on the d-line in Akiem Hicks, the Bears went out and absolutely CRUSHED the Draft.

Here's our individual grades our 2016 Draft Class.

(A+) Leonard Floyd, OLB - It's not every day you can grab the best edge rusher in a class, so Ryan "In" Pace "We Trust" went out and jumped in front of the G-Men to grab Floyd at #9 overall. Sorry New York, you snooze, you lose. Plus Todd wanted me to point out that the last time the Bears had the #9 overall draft pick, they took a certain Lobo that played safety in New Mexico, but ended up playing OLB for us before middle linebacker Barry Minter got Wally Pipp'ed. A certain legendary middle linebacker that donned the soon to he retired #54 and whom will soon be donning a golden jacket from Canton. Brain Keith Urlacher.

(A) Cody Whitehair, OG - Ok, it seemed like we got pantsed by the Packers when hey traded in front of us to grab the Indiana Tackle, but at least Pace had a Plan B. Unlike the dopey Giants who never saw our 1st round trade up coming! The Bears calmly moved back and took the consensus best offensive guard in the draft. Pat thinks Whitehair is the second coming of Tom Thayer.

(A+) Jonathan Bullard, DL - Getting a 1st round talent in the 3rd round is a dream come true. Watching Bullard terrorize Aaron Rodgers on Thursday, October 20th will be a nightmare for Packer fans.

(A+) Nick Kwiatkoski, ILB - This kid reminds Carl of an old school Grabowski. He's a tough, hard nosed son of a gun that likes to smack people around.

(A+) Deon Bush, S - When I googled this kid I came across this highlight package that was shared on the Twitter.

Doug Plank and Gary Fencik approve.

(A+) Deiondre' Hall, CB - This kid patterned his game after Peanut Tillman. Nuff' said.

But Todd wanted me to point out that with arms as long as his you could line up 34 Chicago Style Hot Dogs end to end, fingertip to fingertip along Hall's arms.

(A+) Jordan Howard, RB - Name the last Bears tailback that brought fear to an opposing defense with his tough as nails running? You gotta go all the way back to Brock Forsey to find another Bear that brought the thunder when he ran.

(A) DeAndre Houston-Carson, S - This pick receives an A because he played at William & Mary and my next door neighbors names are William and Mary Houston-Carson. You can't make this stuff up!

(A) Daniel Braverman, WR - Say hello to the Love Child of Devin Hester and Tom Waddle.

Overall we're giving the Chicago Bears at A+ grade for this draft haul.

Now it's your turn to tell us what you liked best about this fine gaggle of youngsters. Vote in the poll and give us some details in the comment section.

Editor: The fellas only had an "A+" option in the poll so I had to convince them to give a few more choices. Three total options were all they'd agree to, citing the "creative control" clause in their contract.
