The Chicago Bears have waived offensive lineman Tayo Fabuluje.
Fabuluje was a 6th round draft pick of general manager Ryan Pace's initial 2015 draft class. He only appeared in four games last year, and he was also suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing substances.
With Tayo gone, that leaves Jason Weaver, Martin Wallace, John Kling, Adrian Bellard and Nick Becton in battle to win a swing tackle job backing up expected starters Charles Leno Jr. (LT) and Bobby Massie (RT).
This move also shows that Pace has no qualms about moving on from one of his own draft picks if he feels he has better options on the roster. Some GMs have been known to hold on to their picks for too long, but Pace must be comfortable with the other tackles he has in camp.
In looking at the Bears' roster, I found it interesting that every offensive lineman on their roster is listed as an OL. None have the specific C, G or T designation.
What are your thoughts on Tayo getting pink slipped?
