Take a deep breath Bears’ fans...

First round draft pick Leonard Floyd was carted off the practice field today after initially walking over to the tent that houses the training staff.

If anyone is expecting a detailed explanation from head coach John Fox after practice, need I remind you how many times he commented ‘day to day’ in regards to the shin injury suffered by 1st round pick Kevin White last year. That ‘day to day’ eventually led to surgery, an extended stay on the PUP list and a lost rookie season.

It’s far to early to speculate on Floyd’s status, but I’m sure Bears’ fans feel like we’ve seen this movie before.

The Bears are pleased with Floyd’s weight gain after drafting him at around 235 pounds, although there are no report son how much he’s put on.

It is sunny and 80 degrees down at Bourbonnais, so the best case scenario is Floyd had a little heat exhaustion.

As soon as camp ends, we’ll have a Day 1 practice update with all the pertinent news and tweets from today.

UPDATE: Reports are coming in that Floyd has been sick the last few days and that’s all this was.

Breathe easy Bears’ fans...
