It's only preseason, it's only preseason.
Just keep repeating it to yourself and sooner or later you'll believe it.

A few key Bears missed today's game (Kyle Long and Leonard Floyd both sat out, with Kyle Fuller recovering from knee surgery), but the Bears also had a few untimely drops from Alshon Jeffery and Kevin White en route to an awkward -7 net passing yards in the first half. Tracy Porter also left the game with a head injury, which the Bears could ill afford with the arthroscopic knee surgery of Kyle Fuller.
Later on the Bears added Jonathan Anderson to the list of the wounded:

Oh, and Alex Smith used his dink and dunk passing game to good effect on the Bears, keeping the Bears' defense on the field for nearly 20 minutes in the first half and the Chiefs went into halftime up 13-0, before finishing the game with a 23-7 victory over the Bears.
Keep in mind of course it's only preseason, but you at least want it to look a little better than that.
Connor Shaw continued his strong play late in games, delivering a strike to Cameron Meredith for the Bears' lone touchdown on a nine-play, 79 yard drive. He left late in the fourth quarter after a vicious hit; he was carted off with an air cast on his left leg. Before leaving, he was 5 for 6 with 68 yards and a touchdown.
We have more on the Shaw injury over here.
